Cosy Country Cottage

Historic Accommodation

The cottage accommodation for self-catering holidays for four guests in the heart of Teesdale, near Barnard Castle and the North Pennines AONB and close to the Yorkshire Dales. The area offers something for everyone – gentle walks or the rugged Pennie Way, historic castles and museums, traditional market towns and villages with shops and antiques, birdwatching, sports and more. We offer a warm welcome with a roaring log burner and home-baking, comfy sofas and country antique furnishings. Outside the River Tees flows past the back garden with an abundance of wildlife.

"what a wonderful cottage, all the extra bits made it feel so homely" "enjoyed another week walking parts of Teesdale and Pennine Ways" "this cottage is gorgeous, the passing of the river is so tranquil" "loved the tennis court with resident sheep!" "we couldn't have been more comfortable for a fantastic week's walking" "what a brilliant little cottage, very clean with everything we need" " the birdlife has been great, including the kingfisher" "some long walks and cosy evenings in front of the fire" "a wonderful place, a real escape and beautiful in December" "looking at the stars, all the amazing wildlife and the intriguing history of the cottage, the garden is so tranquil" "our 18th New Year at this lovely cottage"
